In Selah, kingdoms of humans, dwarves, caruans, and others live in peace with one another. Yet unbeknownst to most, an ancient evil has awakened who threatens to divide the kingdoms and conquer all the world. In response, El Selah has sent down his spirits into the world, blessing his peoples with gifts of magic. 

Runric, coming of age as a young man, leaves his isolated forest home to take part in a worldwide magic contest. Blessed with six types of magic, he quickly gains renown in the neighboring land of Palanda. Torn between a simple forest life and a world of princesses and kingdoms, Runric discovers the world needs his gifts to battle an ancient evil, first discovered by his father and his long-lost mother.
